Mexico City: "The Big Capital"

The CDMX keeps among its streets and long avenues the secrets and events that have shaped the nation.

What to do:

Walk through its historic center, discover its imposing Cathedral and the Templo Mayor, which still preserves vestiges of what was once the great Aztec empire.


On the Paseo de la Reforma you can admire the Angel of Independence and recharge your batteries in one of the many restaurants that you will find in the Zona Rosa.

One of the unmissable sites is the Bosque de Chapultepec, where you can also visit the Castillo de Chapultepec, which was the home of Maximiliano and Carlota. In this area you will find a wide variety of museums, theaters, cultural and entertainment centers, as well as galleries. If you go as a family you can enjoy various activities on the lake.

The Roma and Condesa neighborhoods stand out for their constructions of different architectural styles. In addition to that they are an excellent option to go out dancing, have dinner or have fun in one of the bars and restaurants in the area. In the south of the city you will find more museums and exhibitions in the University City.


Arrive at the beautiful neighborhood of Coyoacán, which was the place where Frida Kahlo grew up.

Your trip to Mexico City cannot be complete if you do not visit Xochimilco and take a tour of its canals aboard a colorful trajinera. On this tour you will try Mexican snacks and you will surely dance and sing to the sound of popular music.


Discovering Mexico City and its corners is an experience you will never forget.


Coyoacan:


One of the main attractions of this magical neighborhood is the Frida Kahlo Museum, known as “La Casa Azul”. You can tour the home of the painter and be transported to another time.

You will also enjoy part of her wardrobe, almost unknown works and those that have been around the world. Something that not everyone knows is that the artist's ashes rest in this place in an urn in her room. Don't miss out the charm that this magical and memorable place holds.
