El PANANO - TURTLE CONCERVATION CAMP.
EL PANANO camp, dedicated to the preservation of the turtle "golfina" and "garpacho". We protect and release turtles in a respectful manner, with the sole purpose of preserving the species.
We support and contribute permanently to the conservation of sea turtles through research, nest protection, environmental education, ecotourism and the application of appropriate methodologies to add the largest number of hatchlings to wild populations.
In Playa Ventura is the official camp of the national sea turtle protection program. We will visit the camp facilities to better understand what the turtle protection program involves. We will patrol the beaches in search of a nesting turtle but we cannot guarantee that it will be found since it depends a lot on the seas, time and place. When we finish the patrol, we return to the camp to release the hatchlings into the sea.
