Also, from the capital of the municipality (Villa de Tututepec.

The Volunteering:

One of the main problems that Mexico has is education. Lack of knowledge in general terms, lack of opportunities and unemployment. Most of the young Mexicans from all over the country do not even finish high school. A lack of work, lack of money, young people and adults, are tempted by drug trafficking and thus, are part of this vicious circle that everyone already knows and that makes our country such a bad name. Other young people like many of the boys who have finished their secondary school in the small village of Peñas Negras. They leave their home at an early age (around 15-16 years) to seek new jobs and a new way of survival. Let's say that 30% of the boys go to Mexico City or Puerto Escondido itself to try to continue studying. These cases are those that have a stronger family instinct and have a support for not to leave their studies and try to fight for their dreams.

In Mexico have leaders (Politicians) who take advantage of the ignorance of our people and do not invest anything in improving our country, Mexico is stolen and looted by foreign companies that make our people live more and more in poverty. As long the people keep ignorant, they will never have the weapons to demand their rights and will continue to live with their heads bowed, thinking that the only way out is the drug trade or the American dream. And that is incredibly sad because Mexican people have a giant heart that is truly unique.

El Lobo Road Trip doesn't look for specific jobs, that means, we do not want a painter or a teacher or some selected profession. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!. We only want you to do the best of yourself in our community, that it is not an obligation to do a job. We want you to enjoy your stay with us, with our family, with our community, in our culture, in our country. You can choose, in what you want to contribute, if you want to teach a language to people, if you are a doctor or nurse

and want to give advice, help in the small clinic in the village and so on, many other tasks. The most important thing and the objective that we have; It is that young people can open their minds, and that they can see that out there, there are many places to know, many people to discover, many new influences. That their life is not summarized in 1, 2 or 3 options, that there is a long way to go and that you can follow your dreams, regardless of where they come from. You can help in the field, with the crops or animals, in the repair of houses or places.

At the same time, you will learn many things typical of the Mexican culture. The day to day of the Mexican people.

You can see and learn about the coffee process, how the "tortillas" are made, or the typical and traditional chocolate. As well, and depending of the season you can spend a proper " Dia de los Muertos" (the day of deaths)  with all the colour and food. You can test our delicious and

traditional dishes.

Oaxaca, is an important producer and exporter of coffee, but the more important drink is chocolate. Oaxaca is one of the Mexican states that produces cacao, along with Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas, Morelos, Guerrero and Michoacán. Cacao and chocolate have been used in the

state as food, drink and medicine. In the past the cacao beans served as a form of money.
